Stillwater vs Tulsa Union Dual Recap

Stillwater kicked things off for the season, making the trip over to Tulsa Union High for their first dual of the year. As most know by now Stillwater is tough. They are a top 15 team in the country, coming off 3 state titles in a row and back to back dual state titles in 6A. Stillwater continues to put together a competitive team year after year, interestingly there were quite a few new faces to lineup.

Dual starts at 106 with Mason Mitchell (Union) taking on Nathan Phillips (Stillwater). Two freshmen getting their first start of their high school careers. Union  6  Stillwater  0

At 113, Stillwater sends out Ayden Thomas, who is the returning state champ at 106 last season to wrestle against Union’s Jaraett Simms. Thomas gets right to his offense with a takedown right off the whistle, locks up a deep half and gets the quick fall 45 seconds into period 1. …
