“Wrestler of the Week” spotlights the remarkable achievements of a young athlete, showcasing their dedication, skill, and perseverance in the demanding sport of wrestling. Whether they are a boy or girl, competing in youth leagues, high school championships, or college tournaments, this segment highlights their journey and accomplishments. Through a blend of technical prowess and unwavering spirit, these wrestlers exemplify the essence of the sport, inspiring others with their hard work, strategic thinking, and the grit required to excel on the mat. Their stories are not just about victories and medals, but also about the lessons learned, challenges overcome, and the personal growth experienced through the lens of wrestling. To spread the love, once a wrestler has won wrestler of the week, we’ll not enter them in voting after.

Millie wrestled 8 matches at jay. 7 first period pins. Had 8 pins only allowed 2 points to be scored all day.

WEEK II:

Freshman just won mid America

WEEK III:
Nash Denison, Cowboy Wrestling Club
Went 5-0 at Sapulpa
Then went To Tulsa for Battle of the Belt and went 4-0 Had 4 pins in 2 minutes and 15 second total!! Won outstanding wrestler 9-0 on the weekend

WEEK IV:
Dawson Beckley Team Tulsa Wrestling Club
Won the 88lb 48th USJOC as a 2x Champion. Won the 92lb bracket days before at the Blingdeer Classic

WEEK V:
Jaiden Johnson, Fort Gibson

Jaiden won 1st place in his weight bracket last week in Gulf Shores. He also won most outstanding wrestler in that tournament.

WEEK VI:
Katelyn Patterson, Cache

Western District (Girls) 100lb Champion all pins. Port City Classic of Catoosa 100lb Champion 3 pins and 1 tech fall. Varsity, Freshman

Week VII:
Hallie Horine, Cleveland

Went 5-0 in the Perry Lady Maroons tournament to win her division.

WEEK VIII:
Stevie Vafeas, Fort Gibson

Went 5-0 in duals during the week and won the Maverick Conference tournament. Had 3 falls and a tech fall in route to winning the tournament.
