Keegan Luton and Cade Manion Finish as All-Americans for OCU

PARK CITY, Kan. – Oklahoma City University’s Keegan Luton and Cade Manion posted fifth-place finishes at their respective weights in the NAIA men’s wrestling championships Saturday at Hartman Arena. 

Luton boasted of fifth at 149 pounds, while Manion took fifth at 141 pounds. The duo became two-time all-Americans. 

“I’m super proud of our guys’ efforts,” OCU coach Justin Ensign said. “Keegan and Cade continue to lead our program. They each fought hard all weekend to come home with their second all-American honors.” 

Luton, a sophomore psychology major from Mustang, Okla., edged Nathan Lendt of Doane (Neb.) 1-0 to nail down fifth place. Luton fell in the championship semifinals in sudden victory 6-4 to Ryan Moore from Thomas More (Ky.). Luton completed the season 23-4. 

Manion, a sophomore from Edmond, Okla., pursuing a criminal justice degree, prevailed 5-2 over Asa Garcia from Marian (Ind.) in the 141-pound fifth-place match. Manion advanced through the consolation bracket with two wins earlier in the day. Manion came up with an 8-0 win over Austin Kolvek of Ottawa (Kan.) and delivered a 9-0 victory over David Pierson from St. Thomas (Ga.). Manion closed out the season 27-4. 

The Stars finished 19th in the team standings with 26.5 points.
