WICHITA, Kan. (March 14) – Todd Steidley completed a coaching trifecta Thursday afternoon when the eighth-year Central Oklahoma skipper was named NCAA Division II Coach of the Year by the National Wresting Coaches Association at a press conference on the eve of the national tournament.
Steidley was selected Division II Region IV Coach of the Year two weeks ago and added MIAA Coach of the Year accolades earlier this week before capping it with Thursday’s announcement.
The NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships are set for Friday and Saturday at Hartman Arena in Wichita.
“This is a credit to my assistant coaches and the wrestlers,” Steidley said. “I’m the head coach, but they do all the work and I couldn’t be more proud of the effort and dedication our team has shown this year.”
Scott Chenoweth is in his seventh year as Steidley’s top assistant coach, while Derek White and Noel Torres are in their first season…
