In an epic show of resilience and courage the Piedmont JH wildcats were able to avenge a pool round loss to the Edmond North Huskies in the finals at the annual Shawnee JH Duals Saturday afternoon.
With what proved to be a decisive win by the Wildcats heavyweight Sean Maguire, Piedmont was able to secure their first dual tournament win in team history. Edmond North did have 3 open spots in the lineup however piedmont was able to avoid bonus point losses in key matchups as we as the above mentioned Maguire who was able to get a victory which eluded him in the previous days match up with the Edmond North heavyweight.
I was able to speak to head Piedmont JH coach Dirick Hatfield and Heavyweight hero Sean Maguire about their performances in this exciting conclusion to this year’s dual tournament.
