Tuttle’s Beau Hickman, Blackwell’s Kruz Goff and Stillwater’s LaDarion Lockett can check all the boxes as they recently completed dominating careers to join the exclusive 4X state champions club.  Add one more thing they all have in common – they are future teammates on the powerful OSU wrestling team.

In addition to Lockett, Hickman, and Goff, 3X state champion and 4X finalist Ethan Teague (Stillwater), 2X state champion and 4X placer Kody Routledge (Edmond North), and 1X state champion and 3X finalist Ishmael Guerrero (Stillwater) have all signed with OSU, giving Coach David Taylor an incredible recruiting class from Oklahoma!

Tuttle’s Beau Hickman started on his journey to being a 4X state champion by winning the Class 4A 132 lb. title in his freshman year with a 5-0 finals win over Skiatook junior Josey Jernegan (Jernegan would end his career as a 2X finalist and 4x placer).  Hickman ended his freshman year with a 30-4 record.

In his sophomore season, Hickman won the Geary Tournament, which included a major decision over Edmond North’s Joseph Jeter and a win over senior AJ Rallo from Whitfield, MO, who would win his 4th Missouri state title later that season.  Hickman breezed through the regional tournament with four falls and moved into the state finals with a fall and tech fall.  The finals featured two sophomores who won titles as freshmen, with Hickman defeating Cascia Hall’s Cory Velasquez 3-0 to stay on track in becoming a 4X state champion.  Hickman finished the year with a 44-4 record.

In Hickman’s junior year, he once again swept through the regional tournament with all falls and moved into the state finals with a tech fall and fall.  In the finals, Hickman once again met a state champion from Cascia Hall, winning state title number three with a 4-0 win over senior Treshuan Tecson (Tecson was a 1X state champion and 4X state placer).  Hickman ended his junior year with a 45-4 season record.
