Tuttle did it again! For the 17th straight year, the Tigers are the Class 4A Dual State Champions. Taking place Saturday at Tulsa Union, Tuttle opened the tournament with a 64-8 win over Skiatook and then advanced to the finals with a 49-24 win over Cushing. In the finals, Tuttle defeated Bristow, 43-22 to claim the 2026 Class 4A Dual State title.

Quarterfinal action saw Tuttle defeat Skiatook, 64-8, Cushing sneak by Cache, 37-36, 6th seed Sallisaw surprise 3rd seed Ft. Gibson, 41-30, and Bristow defeat Sulphur, 38-21.
In the win over Skiatook, Tuttle got falls from Garrett Lynn, Maddox Witt, Shawn Rounsaville, Janson Leonard, Jess Abston, Maxwell Bradley, Devin McCarty, and Bode Wilson, tech fall wins from Chance Fisher and Rylend Slover, a major decision from #1 Kylan Ooton over #2 Jagen Jones, and a wild 17-16 win for #9 Zyler Gonzalez over #5 Eli Sutton.
Cushing trailed Cache by six points with four matches remaining, but got a critical win at 132 lbs. when #2 ranked Revin Fipps defeated 126 lb. #2 ranked Taii Walsh by a 10-3 score. Cushing followed that with a fall from Cash Stapleton and sealed the win with a major decision win by Vaughn West. Prior to that, Cushing got falls from Bryce Ward, Logan Ford, Ryker Vier, and Landon Dietz to set the stage for comeback win.
Sallisaw got falls from Brody Mills, Stevie Vafeas, Rangler Carter, Tilden Gates and a dual clinching fall from Cash Mayfield to upset Ft. Gibson. Drew Simpson and Hunter Smith added major decision wins, with Lucas McAllister winning by forfeit, and Morgan Duke (ranked #5 at 126) picking up a 4-2 win over David Farmer (ranked #3 at 132).
Bristow advanced to the semifinals with falls from Hudson Claggett, Haydan Youcham, and Tucker Daniels, a tech fall from Mack Powell, a major decision from Marley Branscum and wins by Westin Vanzant, Brody McNac, Braylon Freeman, and Kale Fruits.
In the semifinals, Tuttle trailed Cushing 24-12, before sweeping the final seven weights with all bonus point wins to advance to their 19th straight Dual State finals with a 49-24 win over Cushing. Tuttle got falls from Wyatt Whitener, Cooper Jackson, Rylend Slover, and Evan Moore, with Shawn Rounsaville and Maxwell Bradley winning by forfeit. In matchups of ranked wrestlers, Tuttle’s state champion and #1 Chance Fisher won by major decision over #2 Revin Fipps, Tuttle’s #3 Bode Wilson won by major decision over #4 Vaughn West, and #1 Kylan Ooton won by tech fall over #5 Cash Stapleton.
In the other semifinal, Bristow won nine of the first 11 matches to jump ahead of Sallisaw, 50-7, before forfeiting the final three weights to advance to their second straight Dual State finals, with the 50-25 win. Bristow got falls from Cain Clay, Hudson Claggett, Marley Branscum, Tucker Daniels, Cordeus Wahl, and Javon Freeman, with Haydan Yocham winning by tech fall, Brody McNac picking up a 10-8 win over #5 Morgan Duke, and Braylon Freeman winning by forfeit.
With the finals starting at 175 lbs., Tuttle once again itself in the unfamiliar position of trailing midway through the dual. Bristow’s Cain Clay got it started with a 10-4 win over Zyler Gonzalez. Tuttle’s Shawn Rounsaville followed with a 9-1 major decision, but Bristow won the next four weights to jump to a 22-3 lead (Tuttle had been penalized one team point for unsportsmanlike conduct). For Bristow, Haydan Yocham and Marley Branscum won by fall, with Cordeus Wahl winning by major decision and Tucker Daniels adding a 6-5 win.
Hitting the strength of the Tuttle line-up, the Tigers swept the final eight weights with seven bonus point wins to rush past Bristow. State runner-up Maxwell Bradley got it started with a tech fall win, followed by a fall from state champion, Cooper Jackson. State champion Chance Fisher kept it going with a tech fall and state runner-up Kylan Ooton tied the dual with a 15-8 win.
At 144 lbs. #3 Bode Wilson won by 12-3 major decision over #5 Kale Fruits, with #1 Rylend Slover putting Tuttle up by ten points with a fall at 150 lbs. Evan Moore sealed the win for Tuttle with a tech fall at 157 lbs. and a forfeit win for Trevion Crenshaw-Jones ended the dual, with Tuttle winning the 2026 Class 4A Dual State championship with the 43-22 win over Bristow.
With the team title wrapped up the large group of Tuttle fans proudly cheered on the wrestlers, holding up the now familiar oversized posters proclaiming 17X champions.
Following the tournament, Tuttle head coach Bobby Williams stated “It was a tight finals match against a very good Bristow team, but the guys rallied together and got the bonus points where we need bonus points. I’m very proud of them.”
For Tuttle it was their hard-to-believe 17th straight Dual State title and their 23rd overall title in the 38-year history of the Dual State Tournament.
