2026 appears to be the next chapter of the ongoing battle between Stillwater and Edmond North to rule Class 6A wrestling, with Bixby and Broken Arrow also looking to make some noise this year.  Stillwater, winner of four of the last five team titles, is once again loaded with two returning state champions, three runners-up, two state placers, and four junior high state placers.  Edmond North counters with three state champions, two runners-up, two state placers, two state qualifiers and a junior high state champion that was a Fargo double All-American.

There are ten returning or past state champions in Class 6A this year with two winning titles in Utah.  Winning Oklahoma state titles last year were Turner Ross (Edmond North), Ignacio Villasenor (Stillwater), Thomas Verrette (Edmond North), Jesse Justice (Bixby), Jake Miller (Broken Arrow), and Jaedan Adams (Stillwater).  Edmond North’s Joseph Jeter won a state title in 2024.  Israel Borge (Bixby) won a state title in Utah last year and his brother Zion won a Utah state title in 2024.  Julio Aguirre (Stillwater) won a state title in Kansas in 2023.
