Things went pretty much as expected for the Cowboys in their Sunday afternoon dual against the Arizona State Sun Devils. The Pokes came out firing and even with three backups filling in for starters that have gone pretty hard the last couple of weeks, they easily won 25-11.
The dual started at 157, where Chance McLane kept it close for a couple of periods, before Robideau did what he does and was just relentless, getting the 15-5 major decision. Kody Routledge, who wrestled at 157 on Friday, moved up to 165 to give freshman Dee Lockett a rest against the nationally ranked Nicco Ruiz.
Routledge built up a 6-3 lead in the 2d, but gave up a takedown and rideout to enter the 3d tied 6-6. Routledge chose neutral, got a takedown, but Ruiz was able to escape and get a takedown and rideout to win 10-9.
At 174 Cael Valencia got the first takedown, but Alex Facundo found some offense and got the easy 18-8 major decision.
