The #4 Oklahoma State Cowboys (5-1) continue their West Coast trip, visiting Arizona State (0-2) Sunday afternoon in Tempe. The dual starts at 2:00 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN+. Arizona State is 0-2, but their matchups have been against c purple of decent teams in Michigan, a 30-10 loss, and Lehigh, a 24-18 loss. They also entered the Michigan State Open, where some of their guys had some success, with 9 of their 20 wrestlers making it to the finals in either the Open or the Fresh/Soph division.

As for the Cowboys, they are off a 34-6 whooping of Air Force Friday night, where the Pokes we able to rest the first half of their lineup. Here are some interesting early season stats, courtesy of internets gif_tannen: True Freshman in the team’s leader in individual points with 75 in 5 matches and also has the lead in point differential with 56 (75-19). Konner Doucet has the team lead in team points earned with 25 in 6 duals. Sergio Vega has only given up 3 points in 5 matches. Crazy good stuff. While there are a few intriguing matches, OSU just has too much firepower for ASU to make much noise.  Let’s get to the lineups. Rankings by (Flo/Intermat)

125 (8/8) Troy Spratley (3-2) v. Damien Moore (4-2)

Moore has not had much experience with top ranked guys, so this might be a tough matchup for him, especially since Sprat has generally rolled over lower comp. PREDICTION: Sprat by TF.  OSU 5-0

133 (14/UR) Ronnie Ramirez (2-1) or (UR/17) Richard Figueroa (1-2) vs. UR/29) Kyler Larkin (6-0)

Larkin has come out firing as a Freshman, compiling a 6-0 record and a 1st place finish in the fresh/soph division at Michigan State Open, but so has Ronnie Ramirez.
