Girls: Top 20 Sophomores – All Classes

0
Shares

The sophomore class isn’t politely knocking on the door of Oklahoma girls wrestling dominance; they’re already shouldering it off the hinges. What this group lacks in varsity seasoning they more than make up for in pure, unfiltered chaos: middle-school dynasties who never lost, freshmen who stormed the state tournament like it owed them money, and a dozen more who spent last season quietly collecting scalps while everyone was busy watching the seniors. Pound-for-pound, this might be the deepest and most physically imposing tenth-grade class the state has ever produced, and the scary part is they’re still growing into their frames and their meanness.

From Union and McLoud stacking hammers three-deep to Norman, Broken Arrow, Pryor, Stillwater, and Bixby all fielding legitimate killers, the balance of power is about to get very uncomfortable for the classes above them. These twenty sophomores (plus a loaded honorable-mention list) have already proven they can beat upperclassmen, win brackets that matter, and turn blood rounds into highlight reels. Mark the names now, because by the time the state tournament rolls around this group won’t just be in the conversation; they’ll be running it.
