Bixby Adds Garrett Evans as Assistant/Junior High Wrestling Coach

Bixby wrestling continues to make moves on the coaching front as today Head Coach Ray Blake announced they’ve added Garrett Evans to their staff as an assistant high school coach and head of the junior high team.

Welcome Garrett Evans to the Spartan Family!

The Evans Profile:
– Coached 12 state medalists and a state champion in six years at Pryor HS and Keller HS (TX)
– 3x NCAA D2 All-American, Ouachita Baptist University
– 2x State Champion, Cushing HS

This announcement, of course, comes just about a month after their blockbuster hire of former Stanford Associate Head Coach Ray Blake.

Blake seems excited about the Evans hire.

Evans is originally from Cushing, OK and was coached by Oklahoma Wrestling HOF Coach Barry Patterson and wrestled collegiately at Ouachita Baptist under current West Point Head Coach Kevin Ward.
