For the second weekend in a row, Oklahoma high school wrestlers turned in incredible performances in collegiate open tournaments. At the Younes Hospitality Open, Layton Schneider, Joseph Jeter, and Oscar Williams were all crowned tournament champions, with Kody Routledge and Ricky Thomas placing 3rd, Hunter Hollingsworth placing 4th and Talon McCollom placing 6th. At the Missouri Valley Women’s Open Tournament, Bella Williams earned a 4th place finish.
The Younes Hospitality College Open in Kearney, NE had 728 competitors (215 in Elite Division and 513 in Amateur Division) from 48 universities and colleges competing in the tournament. The Elite Division was mainly college juniors and seniors, while the Amateur Division was mainly college freshmen and sophomores.
The Missouri Valley Women’s Open Tournament had 461 women from 40 different colleges and universities.
