This Friday the 9th in Cache, OK in the Doghouse is the 2nd Annual Wrestle Like A Girl Cache Invitational.
There will be teams from all over Oklahoma looking to turn heads and make an early season impact on the early wrestling season. There should be some great matchups in the semis and finals that are gonna be must see!
Last year there were 15 teams and 182 participants. I spoke with Coach Jimbo Smith and he said that this year they will have over 30 teams competing and they have added a Jr High School division.
He had said with the growth of the tournament in the future he’s hoping to get some Texas and Arkansas teams out to compete next year.
His hope is to continue to build this tournament up every year and possible turn it into a 2 day event. Of the 30 teams in attendance on Friday the 9th, seven are ranked in the OSSAA top 15 ranking.
