Tulsa Central Looks to Rebuild Their Historic Wrestling Program in its First Season Back Since 1996

Colton Roberts recently took on the challenging task of rebuilding one of the most historic high school wrestling programs in the country. From the late 1920s to the late 1940s, Tulsa Central dominated wrestling in the state of Oklahoma, and Nationally. In 1996, they dropped the sport, but this year it returns.

Roberts is the head coach and has quickly put together a balanced roster across most weight classes with a few seniors with wrestling experience from other schools. They’ve also got a number of athletes who are brand new to the sport.
