Team Oklahoma Finishes Fargo With Three Junior Greco All-Americans

The last day of the Fargo tournament wrapped up on Friday and the Oklahoma Junior team closed things out with three All-Americans.

Christian Forbes became a double All-American after his fourth-place finish in freestyle. Forbes was the highest Junior Greco finisher from Oklahoma picking up a fourth-place finish in both styles at 106 pounds. Forbes made it to the semifinals on Thursday before falling to eventual runner-up Elias Navida. He bounced back with a quick tech fall in the consolation semis then fell in the third-place match. This is Forbes’ fifth All-American finish.

Jordan Williams was looking to double up as a champion in both freestyle and greco after winning freestyle at 145 earlier in the week. Williams went up a weight to 152 for greco and alongside Forbes made the semifinals on Thursday. He then dropped his next two before defaulting out to a 6th place finish.

Hayden Simpson was the final All-American for team Oklahoma in Greco finishing 7th place at 285.

Team Oklahoma finished in 20th place with 24 points.
