Seth Duckworth
Some positive news on the recruiting front for OU as they’ve received a commitment from Jace Koelzer.
Koelzer comes to Norman from Northern Colorado. Here is his bio from their website.
Redshirt Junior (2021-22)
– Became a first-time NCAA Championships qualifier
– No. 30 going into the NCAA Championships
– Placed sixth at the Big 12 Championships
– No. 8 seed going into Big 12 Championships
– Advanced to the quarterfinals at the Cliff Keen Invitational
– Finished with an overall record of 14-11
Redshirt Sophomore (2020-21)
– Earned an eighth place finish at the Big 12 Championships
– Went 8-8 on the year,
– Recorded one fall, coming against Wyoming.
– 2021 NWCA Scholar All-American
– 2021 Academic All-Big 12 First Team
Redshirt Freshman (2019-20)
– Finished the season with a 16-9 record, going 7-3 in dual matches
– Started for UNC in the Big 12 Championships at 125 lbs
– Placed second at the Northern Colorado Open
– Placed second at the Cowboy Open
– 2020 Academic All-Big 12 first team selection
– Recorded three tech falls and one fall for the season
– Won the 2020 Underclassman Academic Excellence award
Freshman (2018-19)
– Redshirted
– Finished with a 20-2 overall record, competing unattached
– Won the 125 pound bracket at the Cowboy Open, Rocky Mountain Collegiate Open and Bob Smith Open
– Placed second at the Northern Colorado Open and UNK Holiday Inn Open.
– Recorded two fall and five tech falls, along with two major decision.
