Oklahoma Women’s WTT day 2 recap

Saturday morning started off with fireworks and Team Oklahoma had another strong day. U14 and U20. Moore’s Shelby Kemp and Carl Albert Jr College had a few girls wrestling in U20 . Kasia Wong of Tuttle and Carleigh Clark of Pryor wrestled in U14 on Saturday.

In U17 65 KG Bella Williams won her best 2 of 3 series. Williams scored a 10-6 victory in match number 1. Williams was unable to get much going in match number 2 losing a hard fought After a short time Bella was able to regain her composure for match number 3. Williams came out and was looking to attack early in Match 3. Williams was shut down and used a lot of counter attacks when her opponent got a little to aggressive. Williams scored a 9-2 victory to secure her spot on the US world team. Williams joins  Becka Leathers and Joey Miller as the only Oklahoma women to make a world team in Women’s freestyle. 

Carl Alberts Alexis Miller brought home a All American honor as well. Miller finished of a stellar career at Carl Albert winning 2 JUCO National titles and now getting 5th at The U23 Women’s Nationals in the 50KG U23 division. 
In the U14 division Pryor’s Carleigh Clark wrestling in the 93lb weight class had a strong tournament. Clark pinned her semifinal opponent and was able to make the 14u National finals. Clark finished up as national runner up and will wrestle U15 on Sunday morning. Tuttles Kasia Wong took a tough lose in the Semifinals 7-5. Wong wrestled back…
