Oklahoma State Placer Cooper Mahaffey is Transferring Back to His Home State

Former Yukon Miller Cooper Mahaffey started his college wrestling career at the University of Saint Mary, an NAIA program in Leavenworth, Kansas.

After a semester in Kansas with no competition, St. Mary did not compete in any sports in the fall semester due to COVID-19. Mahaffey, the 6A state third-place finisher at 113 pounds for the Millers in 2020, is coming closer to home to finish out his college career.

OCU announced on Tuesday that Mahaffey is transferring to Oklahoma City to compete for the Stars and head coach Nate Gomez, who is originally from Yukon himself. Mahaffey projects to be a 125 in college.
