OCU Is Hiring a New Men’s Wrestling Coach

Oklahoma City has posted a new position on their website for Head Men’s Wrestling Coach.

Head Men’s Wrestling Coach – 2501 N Blackwelder Ave, Oklahoma City, OK – Oklahoma City University (silkroad.com)

The program’s most recent head coach was Nate Gomez, who took the position in August of 2020. Prior to that, Sam Hazewinkel was the head coach before taking over the Oklahoma RTC in Norman.

The position description is listed below.

Position Summary: The Head Men’s Wrestling Coach serves as head coach and chief administrator of the men’s wrestling program.  The Head Coach will build and manage the program to ensure the competitive performance of the team as well as the development of each student-athlete.  OCU competes as a member of the NAIA and Sooner Athletic conferences.

The Head Coach reports directly to the Athletic Director and is a member of the Athletics Department.
