Northern Oklahoma College Votes to Reinstate Wrestling

Huge news out of Tonkawa today as the NOC Board of Regents has voted unanimously to reinstate their wrestling program and add a women’s team.

Today at 2:00 the Board of Regents for Northern Oklahoma College met in the NOC President’s Conference Room at Tonkawa with the return of wrestling as an agenda item. Alongside a presentation from the athletic director supported by NOC alum Todd Glasgow.

This will be the third junior college program in Oklahoma along with NEO and Carl Albert State. It will also be the third women’s college program along with Carl Albert State and OCU.

Some logistics are still to be worked out regarding facilities, coaching staff, and other items, but general specifics are in place for an eventual wrestling room and locker room..

The school will start competition in the 2024-2025 school year.
