Mirzo Khayitov Commits to Oklahoma State

Oklahoma State added an interesting prospect on Monday night as two-time NJCAA All-American and six-time Uzbekistan National Champion Mirzo Khayitov announced via Instagram he’s committed to Oklahoma State.

Khayitov was a National finalist at 165 last season for Ellsworth Community College and competes internationally at 74 KG. He’s wrestled at some of the toughest tournaments in the world for Uzbekistan including the Ivan Yariguin and Asian Championships.

The Cowboys’ starter at 165 last season was graduating Senior Wyatt Sheets. With no definitive replacement to slot into the spot, Khayitov may have a chance to crack the lineup next year.
