Stillwater’s JJ McComas has committed to Oklahoma State.
McComas made the announcement via his Instagram.
“I am excited to announce that I will be continuing my athletic and academic career at Oklahoma State University! 🤠 I want to 1st thank my mother, family and everyone who has supported me on my journey. Thank you to @ethantkyle and @cwcrtc for being amazing coaches and role models.
When I started wrestling at 12 years old, Oklahoma State was the first college wrestling match I attended. It pushed me to not only dream big but to set my goal to one day wrestle on that very same mat with the smoke and pistols firing. I am honored to be part of the Cowboy Wrestling Dynasty! 🤠”
McComas is an Oklahoma state champion and three-time state placer, winning his state title as a freshman. He competed this summer at 126 and finished as a Fargo runner-up and All-American. He is projected by most to be a 133-141 in college.
