Bixby had 12 placers, including 10 in the top three and crowned two champions to win the Girls Class 6A West Regional Tournament at Shawnee. 2X state champion and 3X finalist, Addison Morse and 3X state champion Millie Azlin won titles, with Abbey Miller and Gracie Cooper placing 2nd, Aubrey Flores, Brynlyn Sullivan, Larra Mullin, state runner-up Madyn Novosad, Lily Turgeon, and Malana Miller all placing 3rd, and Lynette Mullin and Aubrey Martin-Hall adding 5th place finishes. Bixby won the tournament with 307 points, followed by Westmoore with 202 points, Putnam City West with 141.5 points and Lawton with 132.5 points.
Westmoore qualified seven for the State Tournament with Kyrain and Kyrstan Perez winning titles, Hannah Lopez, Ranelle Smith, and Malia Tini placing 2nd, Sophie Rodriguez placing 4th and Jakoiya Medina placing 5th. Kyrain Perez is a 2X state champion, while Kyrstan Perez is a 1X state champion and 2X finalist. Hannah Lopez won a state title in 2023 and is a 3X state placer. Ranelle Smith is a 2X state placer.
Putnam City West qualified five for the State Tournament. Chloe Medlock and Carli Antonelli each won titles, with Tegan O’Connor earning a runner-up finish, Carrisa Martin placing 4th and Emily Hamil placing 5th.
Lawton qualified four wrestlers, and three are heading to the State Tournament as regional champions. Teyanna Fields, Nevaeh Reyes, and Brielle Williams won titles, with Jaleah Stanton adding a 5th place finish.
Westmoore’s Kyrain Perez won the 100 lb. title, going 4-0 with four falls, including a fall in the finals over state runner-up Feliciti Doolittle from Douglass. Doolittle advanced to the finals with a 13-2 major decision over Shawnee state runner-up, Silver Belvin. Kyrstan Perez, improved her perfect record to 32-0 as she posted five 1st period falls to win the 105 lb. title. Perez only wrestled a total of 3:59 in the tournament.
Bixby 110 lb. champion Addison Morse advanced to the finals with three falls, and won the title with an 11-3 major decision over Westmoore’s Hannah Lopez. Putnam City West sophomore Chloe Medlock improved her season record to 29-1 in winning the 115 lb. title with a sudden victory win in the finals over Noble’s Morgan Atherton.
Edmond Santa Fe freshman Nixie Garcia remained perfect on the season (23-0), winning the 120 lb. title with a fall over Moore’s Jalaina Lang. State runner-up and Fargo All-American Claire Lancaster from Norman advanced to the finals with three 1st period falls. In the finals she avenged her only loss of the season, defeating Westmoore’s Ranelle Smith in sudden victory to claim the 125 lb. title.
Returning state placer Teyanna Fields from Lawton, went 5-0 with five falls, including four in the 1st period to win the 130 lb. title. Senior teammate, Nevaeh Reyes made it two champions in a row for Lawton as she posted four falls to advance to the finals, before winning the 135 lb. title with a 9-3 win over Blanchard’s KyRee Annesley.
Putnam City West crowned their second champion, when senior Carli Antonelli pinning all four of her opponents to capture the 140 lb. title and improve her season record to 34-1. State champion Makaylee Cannon of Piedmont went 4-0 with three 1st period falls to win the 145 lb. title and improve her season record to 29-1.
Shawnee’s 2X state placer, Claudia Thomason had three falls and a major decision on her way to the finals, where she won the 155 lb. title with a tech fall over Putnam City West’s Teagan O’Connor. Elgin’s Abby Anglley opened her tournament with a 1-0 win, before posting four straight falls to win the 170 lb. title. Anglley was a 2024 state runner-up, but missed most of last season with an injury.
OSU signee, Millie Azlin posted falls in 0:27, 0:45, 0:20, and 0:47 (total time of 2:19) to win the 190 lb. title and improve her season record to a perfect 29-0. Azlin’s finals opponent, Aleah Underwood advanced to the finals with a 3-2 semifinal victory over 2X state champion, Tessalynn Goodner from Putnam City. Brielle Williams won Lawton’s third title as she posted four straight falls to win the 235 lb. title and improve her season record to 21-1.
