As we’ve navigated building this site and finding the best way to spread the right kind of content on it, we’ve found these quick 3-5 minute interviews with coaches and wrestlers to be a great simple way to cover as much ground as possible. It’s an impossible task to fully encompass every bit of every storyline within the tournament. But I’m constantly blown away by some of the stories I hear as I speak to these kids throughout the weekend at a tournament like this. Some can admittedly be kinda awkward with some of the quieter kids who are difficult to get going and tell their stories. But some share amazing ones that no one would ever know if we didn’t just stop and chat with them. And it’s often not the kids with the biggest wins that have the biggest stories. It’s the ones that have navigated difficult paths to reach their success. Whatever that may be. Some of their stories can be pretty remarkable.
With all that said, let’s dive and look at six of them from this weekend. These are in no particular order.
