Edmond North Defeats Stillwater to Win First Ever National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dual Classic Title

Edmond North and Stillwater found themselves on a collision course for the team title in Gallagher-Iba Arena this week.

Stillwater rolled comfortably through their pool matches and the first round of the Gold Bracket while Edmond North hit nationally ranked Lake Highland Prep and Delbarton. On the momentum of some big falls from Christian Belford, Talon McCollom, and Ricky Thomas, Edmond North took out the 4th ranked team in the country Delbarton to set up an All-Oklahoma final on Thursday afternoon.

Video Interviews from the duals:

Aydan Thomas opened things up with a major decision for Stillwater at 106 which was followed up by a fall by Beric Jordan at 113. The Belford twins responded with back-to-back falls at 120 and 126. At 126 Brayden was down to Sam Smith before getting a fall and flipping the dual back in Edmond North’s favor. From there, it was a back-and-forth battle with wins going in every direction.
