Taking a look at returning state placers in Class 4A shows five wrestlers ready to defend their state titles and three past state champs looking to get back to the top of the podium. Returning state champions include Aden Sanders (Blanchard), Braden Potts (Tuttle), K.J. Evans (Heritage Hall), E.J. Beloncik (Heritage Hall) and Harley Andrews (Tuttle). 2020 state champs include Guy Clevenger (Catoosa), Brody Gee (Skiatook) and Reece Davis (Tuttle). All three of the 2020 champs finished in the runner-up position in 2021 and were part of the group of 11 returning 2nd place finishers.
Tuttle’s three-time finalist and two-time champ Harley Andrews (ranked __ in the nation), finished with a perfect 37-0 record last year and enters his senior campaign with a 110-13 career record. In winning his state titles the past two years, Andrews has pinned all six opponents, including wrestling only a total of 3:16 in his three matches at last year’s state tournament.
