13 Oklahoma State (5-1) vs Columbia (0-3)
All Time Record vs: 1-0
Last year after a late schedule change Columbia came to Stillwater to take on the Cowboys for the first time after a very strong win over Oregon State. This year they head out to NYC to wrestle the Lions in their fourth road dual of the season. Undefeated on the road, they’ll be heavily favored in this match as well. Last year OSU won 35-6, including bonus points from Mastrogiovanni, Fix, Gfeller, Geer, Surber, and Ferrari. This year there are plenty of lineup changes, and Columbia brings a very solid lineup that could challenge the Cowboys at some weights. Here are some things to look out for as they look to continue to stay undefeated on the road.
Dustin Plott
One of the biggest surprises from the Oregon State dual was Plott getting upset. Not only did he lose, but the match was fairly one sided. Plott had no answers defensively and took barely any shots. Coach Smith mentioned he was banged up before the Scuffle finals, but it didn’t sound serious and he looked good winning the title. There’s no concrete answer as to what happened in that match, but it was shocking compared to how Plott had looked.
