Champions Crowned: Highlights from the 2025 Class 6A Girls State Wrestling Tournament

Broken Arrow capped a sensational season by crowning two champions and having seven other medalists to win the Class 6A Girls State Tournament by 21 points over 2nd place Bixby. Edmond North and Union tied for 3rd with Westmoore placing 5th to round out the top five teams.

The individual highlight of the tournament was Bixby’s Jaden Roller, making history with a fall in the finals to capture her 4th state title to become the second 4X state champion in the Girls State Tournament and join Dad Shane as the first father/daughter (or son) 4X state champions.

Bixby pushed five into the finals to take an 11 point lead at the end of the day on Friday. Broken Arrow, with four finalists, put together a spectacular run in the consolations to all but mathematically wrap up the title. While Bixby went one for five in the consolation semifinals, Broken Arrow got on a roll, winning five of six with three falls to take the lead. Broken Arrow kept it going in the consolation finals, winning four of five matches with three falls to take a 28 point lead into the finals. Kristen DeLaRosa’s sudden victory win over defending state champion Abigail Rivero from Stillwater made it official – Broken Arrow is your 2025 Class 6A state champions.

Broken Arrow, coached by Tori Adams-Liles used a total team effort to win the championship, with Emily Beckley and DeLaRosa winning state titles, Kyah Leyba and Tiffany Breshears earning runner-up finishes, Brooklyn Church, Addison Farquhar, Riley Roblyer, and Sonora Reece adding critical 3rd place finishes and Alina Peralta placing 4th.

In addition to Roller, Aiyana Perkins and Millie Azlin won state titles, with Madyn Novosad and Mak Gregg placing 2nd and Jay’la Ford adding a 3rd place finish for Bixby. For Azlin, it was her third state title and she will be back next year looking to join Roller as a 4X state champion.

Edmond North had much to deal with over the last month of the season and didn’t have any regional champions, but overcame all of that by pushing four into the finals to stay close to the lead. They ended up with six placers and tying Union for 3rd place. Ezmerelda Fuller, My Dobrinski, Ariah Beardsley and Paige Wainscott all earned runner-up finishes, with Kinslee Collier placing 3rd and Taylor Brown placing 4th.

Union only brought five to the State Tournament, but all five placed as they crowned three champions with two 3rd place medalists to tie Edmond North for 3rd place. McKenna Wilson, Terrilan Banner and Azreal Smith won state titles, with Dakota Harris and Kelcie Luker placing 3rd. The wins by Banner and Smith capped undefeated seasons as Banner finished 16-0 and Smith 21-0.

Westmoore only brought three to the tournament and got two titles and a 3rd place medalists to finish 5th in the team race. Twins Kyrain and Kyrstan Perez won titles at 100 and 105 with Ranelle Smith adding a 3rd place finish at 125.

Junior Kyrain Perez won her second state title with a 10-2 major decision over El Reno freshman Remy Whitney. Perez scored the opening takedown 20 seconds into the match before adding a 2nd period reversal and four-point near fall to lead 9-0 after two periods. Perez ended the year with a 39-3 record and will carry a 102-15 career record into her senior year.

Kyrstan Perez attacked from the beginning, scoring the first points with a takedown in 14 seconds and added a three-point near fall to lead 6-0 after one period. Perez added takedowns in the 2nd and 3rd periods before pinning Shawnee freshman Silver Belvin in 4:30 to win the 105 lb. title. Perez, a runner-up last year, had two falls and a tech fall in the tournament to end the season with a 40-1 record and 104-13 career record.
