A dominating performance by Blackwell propels them to victory over rival Maroons

Blackwell OK (Jan 10): The annual battle of the Maroons took place Tuesday evening as the Blackwell Maroons played host to the Perry Maroons in front of a large crowd for both teams. 

The Blackwell Maroons started the evening off strong by winning the first 10 matches. 8 of the 10 were bonus point victories; 7 falls and a forfeit. During the run of victories the Blackwell Maroons used multiple techniques in the top position to build large leads and eventually pin their opponents.

The Blackwell Maroons dominated the lower weights but the dual became more competitive as it moved into the middle and upper weights. 

The more interesting matches came at 157 lbs and 215 lbs.
