#30 Oklahoma (9-7) vs #10 Oklahoma State (13-2)
All Time Record vs: 148-27-10 Oklahoma State
Early in the year OK State won this dual 21-15 with a last match pin from Luke Surber. Since then the two teams have gone in different directions, with OK State jumping into the top ten with multiple top ten wins. Oklahoma has had some ups and downs and are coming off an upset over South Dakota State. It’ll be OSU’s senior night, which is an added layer of intensity.
Oklahoma State is the favorite in six matches, but Bedlam is called Bedlam for a reason. The Sooners have lineup changes since the last one, including new starters at 174, 184, and 197. OU has had wrestlers like Mosha Schwartz and Tate Picklo break out so far, but they’ll get tough matchups in Young and Plott. This dual could end up one sided, but expect gritty matches at every weight.
125lbs: #30 Joey Prata (16-7) vs #28 Reece Witcraft (15-7)
This is a big toss up match for the team score, and for the rankings. Witcraft has jumped into the rankings after beating Tanner Jordan, who just beat Prata at the dual. Prata’s style is defensive heavy, with an ability to put on a ride at times. That will be an interesting style matchup as Witcraft has a tendency to let it fly.
A big thing that could come into play is Witcraft’s gas tank. Prata can wear guys down through long scrambles, and doesn’t tend to have cardio issues. OK State has tried to avoid starting at 125, so they are clearly planning around it….
