It is time to crown the 2026 Class 6A Dual State champion. Stillwater, Edmond North, Bixby, Mustang, Broken Arrow, Yukon, Union, and Choctaw all won district titles and will be competing for the title. While it may be hard to top last year’s finish at the Dual State Tournament, the overall depth of this year’s field promises exciting and intense wrestling throughout the day to determine this year’s champion.
Starting with the Mustang-Broken Arrow quarterfinal dual, there will be some great duals in the tournament. The semifinals will most certainly create some fireworks (Most likely Stillwater vs. Mustang-Broken Arrow winner and Edmond North and Bixby battling in the other semifinal), with a highly entertaining finals with whoever survives the semifinal battles.
Some duals and eventually the team championship could come down to the flip of the coin that decides which team has to put their wrestler on the mat first (alternating between weights). It then become a chess match, trying to get the best match-ups for your team. Another factor that comes into play in close duals is the ability to score bonus points or just as importantly, not giving up bonus points in matches you lose.
Defending champion Stillwater, coached by Ethan Kyle, comes in as the number one seed with a perfect 7-0 record, including wins over Bixby and Broken Arrow. This may be the first time we see Stillwater’s full lineup and it is power packed lineup. Stillwater looks to defend their title with top ranked wrestlers Ignacio Villasenor, Jaedan Adams, and Luke Hamiti along with highly ranked Griffin Sensintaffar, Eric Casula, Bryar Hooks, Calan Manley, Jett Kline, Isaac Sensintaffar, Dian Fix, Gabriel Aguirre, and Jakoby Petree. Adams and Villasenor won state titles last year.
