After winning on the road against Little Rock the Sooners stayed undefeated on the weekend, taking out North Dakota State with eight wins. The team didn’t come out completely unscathed, taking two upset losses to young Bison wrestlers. However the big guns of Schwartz, Carlson, Picklo, and Buchanan all scored bonus points to make the score one-sided. The Sooners are now 3-0 to start the season for the first time since 2016, and have a big conference dual against the returning Big 12 champs #3 Mizzou coming up to start December.

Conrad Hendriksen wasn’t the expected starter for the season, but he’s looked very solid so far with a 6-1 record. He wrestles well positionally, has stingy defense, and has some good moments of offense as well. I’m curious to see how he looks against ranked competition, but he’s been very solid to start the year. Jace Koelzer, Cael Carlson, Stephen Buchanan, and Josh Heindselman all looked solid as well. Koelzer and Heindselman didn’t score bonus points, but they were all one-sided matches that were well controlled…
