Top-ranked Central Oklahoma makes a rare home appearance Sunday afternoon when the Bronchos host Central Missouri for a 2 p.m. dual at Hamilton Field House on Alumni Day.
It’s UCO’s first home match since Dec. 10 and the first of four straight Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association contests to finish out the regular season. The Bronchos go to Fort Hays State and No. 3 Nebraska-Kearney next weekend before ending the dual campaign at home Feb. 13 against Newman.
UCO is 9-0 on the season and riding a 15-match winning streak, including nine in a row at home. The Mules are 3-5 overall and 0-1 in the league after falling to UNK 45-3 Thursday night.
“We don’t get a lot of chances to wrestle at home, so our guys are really excited about being in front of our fans,” said head coach Todd Steidley, who is 69-11 in his sixth year at the helm. “There are only four duals left and we need to keep building on the momentum we have so we’re ready to peak for the regional and national tournaments.”
