Joey Cruz out of Bullard High School in Fresno committed to OU today according to his high school Twitter account.
Cruz currently ranks as the #1 ranked 120 lber in the country and #16 overall pound for pound prospect in Willie Saylor’s MatScouts Rankings on Rokfin.
OU has been loading up at the upper weights recently so this fits perfectly for them as Cruz, who is currently a high school senior, could slot in seamlessly at the 125-pound spot.
Tough to overstate how big this is for the Sooners. Cruz is an absolute hammer that is projected to do big things on the college level.
