Teams From Each Class That Wrestled Their Best at the State Tournament

We continue to roll out state tournament content all this week, and I thought I’d dive in for a look at some of the teams that performed their best at the state tournament. Not necessarily the teams that won titles or that had the most talented wrestlers in the tournament, but the ones that seemed to perform their best on the weekend of the state tournament. We all know that’s the goal in wrestling, to hit your stride there, and this is who we think best accomplished that.

3A-Berryhill

Berryhill sent seven to the state tournament. They had two get knocked out early, but five made runs to the finals on Saturday night giving them a third-place finish in 3A behind Blackwell and Marlow. I’m sure they wanted to crown a few champs and would love to go back and get that, but this is a very strong performance and finish for that program…
