OAKS, PA • Inside the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks, the 14U Greco-Roman National Duals, Oklahoma Blue and Oklahoma Red found themselves in competitive pools where they faced formidable opponents before advancing to their respective final placements.
Oklahoma Blue in Pool A:
Oklahoma Blue’s journey started in the quarterfinals against Minnesota Blue, where they suffered a tough defeat, 56-26. Despite early successes, such as Conner Craig’s 4-3 decision at 71 pounds, Minnesota Blue dominated with technical superiorities and falls.
In the consolation round, Oklahoma Blue rebounded by defeating Louisiana 71-15, securing several victories by forfeits and technical falls. Key performances included Brodie Harmon and Bostik Marple earning falls and Carsten Cagle’s technical superiority win.
However, the consistency faltered in the semifinal against California, losing 62-14. Although Jericho Burkart and Carsten Cagle managed victories, California’s strength was overwhelming with multiple technical falls.
