Jenks Tournament Preview

This Friday and Saturday, January 8th and 9th Jenks will be hosting their annual tournament, Larry Wilkey Invitational.

After the historical tournament held in Geary canceled, Jenks stepped up and opened their tournament up to host more teams.

A lot of the best teams in 6A will be competing there this weekend. In fact, they will be hosting 24 teams. So it is arguably on its way to being one of the most competitive tournaments held in Oklahoma this year.

The 24 teams attending will be as follows:

• Enid
• Union
• Glenpool
• Westmoore
• Jenks
• Yukon

Needless to say, there will great wrestling taking place at the Frank Herald Gymnasium in Jenks.

A few of the matchups we can expect are:

• 106- Everybody ranked at 6A will be at this tournament. So this bracket shall be one to watch
• 113-Gabe Fontanez (Stillwater) and Clay Giddens (Bixby) both from 6A.
