Historic Tulsa Central Wrestling Program to be Restored

One of the more historic wrestling programs in the country is coming back to life after a roughly ten-year hiatus from the sport.

Tulsa Central has hired Colton Roberts to revive its wrestling program.

“We are pleased to introduce Colton Roberts as the latest addition to our team at Central Brave Family, pending board approval. Colton will be spearheading the restoration of our Wrestling Program. Welcome aboard, Colton!”

Roberts coached alongside his father at Tecumseh for four years, served as a volunteer assistant at Stillwater while in college, and most recently was an assistant at Cleveland High School. He plans to operate both a girls’ and boys’ program at Tulsa Central. The boys will compete in 3A.

Tulsa Central is one of the most historic hight school wrestling programs in the entire sport.

They were recently featured by the National Wrestling Hall of Fame for having the most individual NCAA titles from a single high school.
