Fay Barnett has been announced as the head girls wrestling coach and an assistant boys coach at Yukon.

Barnett takes over the girls’ team from Mike Clark who coached them last season while also working as the school’s athletic director. Clark had three state qualifiers last season and one state champion with Kaylee Davis, who also finished as a Cadet All-American at Fargo this summer.

Barnett comes to Yukon from Kingfisher. He spent the fourteen years prior to his time at Kingfisher as the head coach at Carl Albert High School.

Barnett is excited about the new opportunity.

“I’m excited to bring my 28 years of experience to Yukon. Yukon has always had a great reputation and I look forward to being a part of the staff”
