David Taylor Named New Oklahoma State Wrestling Coach

Oklahoma State has found their head coach. The university announced tonight that David Taylor will be the new head coach at Oklahoma State. Taylor is a two-time NCAA champion and 4 time Olympic/World Champion.

Taylor won an Olympic Gold in 2020, World titles in 2018, 2022, and 2023, and a Silver in 2021.

Taylor just missed another Olympic bid last month, but has found a new home at Oklahoma State. This will be met with some controversy as this is his first coaching stop and many presumed associate head coach Coleman Scott would receive the job.

Historic night in Stillwater to say the least.

Here I share five thoughts on the announcement.
