Big 12 Preview: #16 Oklahoma State

The ranking may look off, but while the team is ranked #9 in dual rankings, the individual rankings keep them lower at #16. The Cowboys have done a good job of getting gritty dual wins, and won the Scuffle earlier in the year. Some of their individual rankings keep them low though, so that’s where the ranking difference comes into play. Oklahoma State surprised many with their dual ranking and wins this year though, so they’ll be looking to do that again here.

As it is currently seeded, Oklahoma State would be in second with 84 points. That only includes placement points and not advancement or bonus point wins. The team is projected to have nine qualifiers if seeds held, with only Witcraft not making it. The projection of nine qualifiers is good, but the team is behind first place Mizzou by 24 points. Upsets and bonus points will go a long way to close that difference.
